Located in the foothills of the Cascades, Pro Ski is a fast‑paced, inclusive, and authentic specialty retail shop. Our core categories include ski touring, skiing, snowboarding and splitboarding, mountaineering, rock climbing, trail running, and hiking.

We are the Northwest’s original Dynafit Competency Center, the PNW’s only ATK Service Center, a Pomoca Skin Service location, and a Scarpa Boot Service Center. Our team also authored three backcountry ski and splitboard guidebooks.

Our staff and customers are passionate outdoor recreationalists who use and understand the gear we sell. We maintain one of the highest levels of service and expertise in the industry, supported by our guiding partners at Pro Guiding Service.

Position: Boot Fitter/Sales Associate

Start Date: Immediately

This is a full‑time, year‑round position. Starting hourly wage is $20–$25 per hour, DOE.

We are looking for someone who excels at engaging and educating customers about our specialty ski products, including backcountry and alpine skiing, as well as mountaineering, hiking, and trailrunning footwear.

We require two or more years of boot‑fitting or outdoor retail experience. A strong work ethic and genuine enthusiasm for mountain sports will go a long way in our high‑energy environment.

  • Provide expert advice on ski equipment and outdoor gear, tailored to each customer’s needs
  • Organize and check out rental equipment
  • Become an expert across all product categories through training and hands‑on learning
  • Participate in boot‑fitting training sessions and clinics

  • Assist with cleaning, merchandising, receiving inventory, and working the front and service counters

 

Position: Lead Shop Tech

Start Date: Sept 1st 

This is a full‑time, year‑round position. Starting hourly wage is $20–$25 per hour, DOE.

Pro Ski and Mountain Service is hiring an experienced Shop Tech to lead our service department and uphold the highest standards of ski and snowboard tuning, mounting, and general gear repair. This position officially begins September 1, but we are open to bringing the right candidate on earlier. We’re looking for the right person to step in and help guide our busy, high‑energy shop.

The ideal candidate is a skilled technician with strong leadership instincts, a passion for mountain sports, and the ability to maintain an organized, efficient, and professional service environment.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast staffing needs and manage service workflow
  • Run and maintain service operations in LightSpeed POS
  • Manage the shop’s indemnification list
  • Train technicians and ensure current binding certifications
  • Monitor supply purchasing and maintain proper tooling
  • Stay current on product recalls
  • Oversee warranty processing and customer repairs
  • Intake and release customer service work
  • Perform machine maintenance
  • Execute binding mounts (with and without jigs) across all categories:
    • Touring/Tech
    • Alpine
    • Telemark
    • Splitboard
    • Snowboard
    • Cross‑country
    • Custom mounts
  • Tune and repair skis and snowboards:
    • Full/basic tunes
    • Race tunes
    • Edges and hot wax
    • P‑tex and base patches
  • Use the Vermont Release Calibrator for torque testing
  • Coordinate gear maintenance for Pro Guiding Service
  • Assist with rentals during peak periods
  • Perform boot service work as needed
  • Support the sales floor when required
  • Maintain backshop cleanliness and contribute to overall store upkeep
